Fast-food chain opens second Fayetteville location. Here’s when and where.

Nearly a decade after it opened on Ramsey Street , a midwestern fast-food chain is opening its second location in Cumberland County on Wednesday.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will open at 2860 Hope Mills Road in Fayetteville, just outside the Hope Mills town limits, at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to a news release.

The chain, which was founded in Wichita, Kansas, in 2002, opened its first Fayetteville location in October 2015 at 4825 Ramsey St.

“We’re thrilled to expand Freddy’s in Fayetteville and give residents in the community another convenient location to visit,” Dave Dreiling, franchise owner, said in the release. “Our newest restaurant will uphold the traditional Freddy’s dining experience as we continue to provide fast, friendly service and cooked-to-order menu items to all our guests.”

The 2,982-square-foot restaurant can seat 76 people inside with additional room on the patio, the release said. It also has a drive-thru. Popular menu items include steakburgers, all-beef hotdogs, shoestring fries and frozen custard.
