South Brunswick senior Lillian Powell finished second in the N.C. High School Athletic Association 3A East Golf Regional Monday at Chicora Golf Club in Dunn. Powell shot a 7-over 78. She had one birdie on the 4,975-yard course. The medalist was Jacksonville senior Sanaa Carter (1-over 72). She finished tied for second last year at the state tournament.
