Shooting justified in June death of Fayetteville man on Albany Street

Charges won’t be filed against a Fayetteville resident who shot and killed a man he said tried to run him over after being caught stealing metal from his yard. “After a consultation with the district attorney’s office, it was decided that no charges would be brought on that incident,” Fayetteville Police Department spokeswoman Rickelle Harrell said Tuesday.
