Veterans Day 2024: Free food and discounts for Fayetteville-area vets, active-duty members

Veterans Day falls on a Monday this year, and many restaurants around Fayetteville and Fort Liberty offer free meals and other discounts to thank active and former military members.

Most discounts and free meals are limited to dine-in orders and require proof of service, such as a military ID or service record.

Promotions may vary by location and don’t include beverages, gratuity or taxes.

Here’s a look at the deals offered this year. Unless otherwise stated, all deals are for Veterans Day only.

Veterans Day freebies and discounts in the Fayetteville area

Applebee’s : Free dine-in entree from a select menu. Servicemembers who dine in on Veterans Day also receive a $5 coupon to redeem for their next dine-in or to-go or delivery meal within the next three weeks.

Bubba 33’s : Free lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or receive a voucher for a future visit.

Carolina Ale House : Veterans and military members receive a free half-rack rib platter with coleslaw and fries.
