Heritage Park in Hope Mills reaches milestone: What’s next for the community space?

Construction of the first phase of Hope Mill’s Heritage Park – with its dual purpose as a recreational space and a means for stormwater management – is complete. Town manager Chancer McLaughlin said the $1.3 million park at 5445 Lakeview Road, built on the site of the town’s first cotton mill, is a place where people can picnic along Little Rockfish Creek that is free to use or can be rented out as a space for events like wedding receptions, farmers markets, concerts and community performances.
