Cumberland County experienced several notable restaurant closures in 2024, ranging from longtime favorites to promising new ventures that didn’t quite get their start. Some restaurants on the list thrived for years before closing, while others lasted less than six months.

Korean fusion restaurant closes
Kwon’s Treats and Kwon’s Korean Kitchen, two food trucks launched by the same owner, remain open following the closure of Kwon’s Kitchen Korean Fusion Cuisine in Midway Center on Bragg Boulevard in Fayetteville. The restaurant closed on Feb. 25 after about a year in business.
Beans and Things Coffee
Beans and Things Coffee at 5554 Yadkin Road closed its doors March 24 after a nearly six-year run.
Huske Hardware Restaurant & Brewing Co.
Huske Hardware, a downtown Fayetteville restaurant and brewery, closed without notice April 18 .
PD Quix
Drive-thru burger restaurant PD Quix closed its longtime Spring Lake store on July 15 after 35 years in business.
