Two Fayetteville residents were charged Monday after reportedly breaking into a school bus at a Cumberland County middle school earlier in the day.
Katherine Elizabeth Alvitre, 23, is charged with breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, larceny, possession of stolen goods and conspiracy.
Her codefendant, Baxter Worth Paschal IV, 22, is charged with conspiracy.
A Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office news release and charging document allege that Paschal waited nearby as Alvitre broke into a school bus at Mac Williams Middle School about 5:15 a.m. and took a purse, two wallets, $40 in cash and keys. The total value of the items stolen was $459, according to the record.
Paschal was booked into the Cumberland County jail at 11:10 a.m. with bail set at $5,000, court records show.
Alvitre was booked into the Cumberland County jail at 10:07 a.m. and is being held with bail set at $10,000, according to court records.
