Teen accused of stealing car, gun in Charlotte after avoiding court-ordered placement

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A teenager was accused of stealing a car and a gun in Charlotte after avoiding a court-ordered placement in central North Carolina.

The unnamed 15-year-old allegedly absconded from his placement on April 1 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and got a rideshare to Charlotte with a friend’s help.

That same day, police said a stolen vehicle was recovered in the University Division of Charlotte and had the teenager’s fingerprints on the interior…
