Lady Natalia Perez Lozano: Southeastern Artist In Residence

It’s Friday afternoon and the melodies of Georges Bizet’s famous opera, Carmen, can be heard echoing throughout the Arts Center. If you follow the music, you will find Lady Natalia Perez Lozano working diligently on one of her many paintings. Canvas depicting various animals, human figures, and natural scenery surround this prolific artist as she immerses herself in her latest piece.

Natalia is the Arts Council’s latest Southeastern Artist in Residence. Originally from Colombia, Natalia leverages her background in marketing to help make an emotional connection with viewers. Her work has been displayed in various exhibits, including Obras de la Vida last September.

“My art is deeply rooted in the power of emotions and the inherent magic of nature. I believe that emotions are the driving force behind humanity-they shape our experiences, our relationships, and our understanding of the world,” explains Natalia in her artist statement…
