An economic boost could be heading to Hope Mills, bringing over $10 million in investment and dozens of new jobs, as town officials consider an incentive package for a potential new business, known as “Project Shade.”
The town of Hope Mills Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. June 16 at the town hall at 5770 Rockfish Road to discuss a proposed economic development incentive package for “Project Shade.”
Town Manager Chancer McLaughlin said in a text message that the project is “an industrial based economic development effort to create jobs with a potential tenant in a new industrial facility in Hope Mills.”…
