A two-vehicle crash on a busy highway in Cameron sent four people to the hospital and caused major traffic delays. The crash happened in the 900 block of U.S. Highway 15-501 between Cannon Road and Lamms Grove Road.
A Chevrolet Equinox traveling north nearly hit a Subaru Forester traveling south head-on. The vehicles collided at the driver’s side corners, leaving both with significant damage. The impact ripped the front driver’s wheel off the Chevrolet, leaving debris scattered along the roadway for a considerable distance. The vehicles came to a stop on the same side of the road, nearly a quarter of a mile apart.
The female driver of the Subaru was the only occupant. The female driver of the Chevrolet had two children with her. All occupants of both vehicles were transported to Moore Regional Hospital for further evaluation.
