A new Chinese restaurant in Raeford that introduced its diverse, upscale menu in its soft opening on Father’s Day weekend is already earning praise from locals who say it’s the kind of dining experience the area has been missing.
Arowana Seafood and Ramen Bar, just a few doors down from Mega Hibachi at 8598 Fayetteville Road in Raeford’s Stone Gate Plaza, is owned by the same husband-and-wife duo, Jin Xiao and Guang Lin, according to general manager Chris King. He said the restaurant’s grand opening was June 28.
“We wanted to bring something different, something more upscale and classy, but we also wanted to make sure it was still affordable,” King said June 26. “We don’t want to do anything that’s going to cost hundreds of dollars just to come out and eat one time. We want something where people are going to come out, bring their families, their friends, just a good place to get together and have a good time.”
