A woman was injured Friday afternoon after her vehicle flipped several times along Cypress Church Road just outside of Vass.
The single-vehicle crash happened around 4:45 p.m. near the intersection of Byrd Road. According to authorities, the driver, who was the only occupant in the vehicle, was traveling in a Kia Soul when the vehicle veered off the right side of the road and overturned multiple times.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and requested a medical helicopter. A landing zone was set up at the Vass ball field for UNC Carolina Air Care. However, after paramedics transported the driver to the landing zone, medical personnel determined it was not necessary to airlift her.
