‘I wanted to have an impact’: Meet Cumberland County Schools’ new superintendent

For more than 25 years, Dr. Eric C. Bracy has used a Frederick Douglass quote to guide his professional career — “It’s easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.”

Bracy was unanimously approved by the Cumberland County Board of Education on May 27 to replace outgoing superintendent Dr. Marvin Connelly, who retired July 1.
