FTCC announces rebrand; fresh new look and commitment to students, the community and developing the workforce

Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) had a packed ceremony today, Aug. 8, during their 2025 Fall Convocation. Taking place in the Horace Sisk Gymnasium, students, faculty, staff and community members and leaders were able to get the first glimpse at a fresh new rebrand for the college: Fayetteville Technical Community College with the tagline: Future Ready.

The rebrand keeps the white, black and gold color scheme, while also highlighting the college’s dedication to educating and preparing the future workforce to meet high in demand jobs and positions. The new logo features strong “FTCC” lettering alongside a square crossed by black, gold and white sweeping bands. The design represents the many paths students can take, all leading toward future opportunities.

“You’re going to see some things happening on campus. As a matter of fact, the bookstore closed down yesterday, new apparel is out, you’re going to see new flags with our ‘Future Ready Fayetteville Tech’ logo all up and down campus, you’re going to see new banners, and new regalia,” shared FTCC President Dr. Mark Sorrells during his address. “We’re working to transform the college and create that theme around Fayetteville Tech and the ‘Future Ready’ workforce. It will be a staged progression as we go forward, so bear with us. We’re excited about the future. We’re excited we’ve got a great opportunity ahead of us.”

The brand update follows a months-long process in partnership with Raleigh-based firm Vitalink. Input was gathered from FTCC faculty, staff, students, community leaders, workforce partners, and other stakeholders across the region. The result is a brand identity that reflects the college’s belief in helping every individual reach their full potential…
