1 dead in Fayetteville shooting on Poplar Drive; suspect in custody: Police

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A shooting in Fayetteville Friday afternoon left one person dead, police said.

According to the Fayetteville Police Department, officers responded just after 5 p.m. to a reported shooting in the 1900 block of Poplar Drive. They located a man with multiple gunshot wounds who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said a suspect is in custody. A preliminary investigation found the victim and suspect are related.

As of Friday evening, the identities of the suspect and victim have not been released…
