FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A man was sentenced to 24 years in federal prison for his role in a drug trafficking conspiracy in and around Fayetteville, federal prosecutors said Tuesday.
According to the Office of the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office began investigating 34-year-old Celestio Lefranz Harrington of Lillington in 2023 after he was identified as a supplier of drugs in the Fayetteville area. He was seen performing drug activity in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Philadelphia.
That March, according to federal prosecutors, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol conducted a traffic stop on Harrington while he was traveling back from Philadelphia. They found about 4.4 kilograms of methamphetamine and 4.1 kilograms of cocaine in the trunk of the vehicle…
