The Moore County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a domestic-related shooting outside of Vass on Thursday morning. The incident occurred around 8 a.m. in the 100 block of Liberty Lane.
“We have deputies at the scene of a domestic incident on Liberty Lane in which one person has been shot,” said Chief Deputy Andy Conway with the Moore County Sheriff’s Department.
The man was transported by EMS to a makeshift landing zone created by the Carthage Fire Department in a field at the intersection of Union Church Road and Ring Road, where a medevac helicopter flew the patient to an area trauma center. His condition is currently unknown…
