Harnett County Parks and Recreation invites citizens of Harnett County to attend a public meeting and share their feedback on proposed greenway routes.
This open house meeting will be on Sept. 9, 2025 from 5:00 – 6:15 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Harnett County Resource Center and Library – Room 103 B/C.
In the 2021 Harnett County Bicycle, Pedestrian and Greenway Plan, Harnett County Parks and Recreation identified three trail segments as priorities:
- Lillington to Campbell University
- Campbell University to Coats
- Coats to the Dunn-Erwin Rail Trail
Harnett County is currently working with Alta Planning + Design to conduct a feasibility study on the creation of each, which will identify route alternatives. The results of this study will provide guidance on how to best implement the creation plans in phases…
