RED SPRINGS — A law enforcement operation in Red Springs on Tuesday, Aug. 26 resulted in 149 criminal and traffic charges being issued.
The Red Springs Police Department, in partnership with multiple state and local law enforcement agencies, conducted the multi-faceted law enforcement operation to address both highway safety and violent crime issues in the community. The dual-pronged effort included a North Carolina Governor’s Highway Safety Program (GHSP) event and a simultaneous violent crimes operation led by the Southeastern Violent Crimes Task Force.
