Gunshots fired from car hit NC trooper’s cruiser during chase near Fayetteville, officials say

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A passenger in a car fired shots that hit a North Carolina state trooper’s cruiser near Fayetteville Tuesday night during a chase of the car by the trooper, officials said.

The incident was reported before 8:45 p.m. along McArthur Road near Interstate 295 just west of Fayetteville, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. No one was injured.
