NCDEQ Energy Saver NC program brings home energy rebates to Cumberland County residents

Cumberland County residents have access to funds in home energy rebates through Energy Saver North Carolina, an initiative launched by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). The program includes over $208 million in federal funding to help households afford energy-saving upgrades like heat pumps, insulation and electrical panel improvements.

The program is designed to lower utility bills, improve home comfort and support local jobs, with more than 2,300 new employment opportunities expected statewide.

The program includes two rebate options:

  • HOMES (Homeowners Managing Energy Savings)
  • HEAR (Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates)
