Jason Levister has been named the Director of Workplace Learning at Sandhills Community College, a role responsible for overseeing and expanding workplace learning programs, including pre-apprenticeships, apprenticeships, and structured internships.
He will align his work with Apprenticeship NC, a state-funded program that connects students with employers for successful job experiences and future placements. This model is a piece of the success toward the growth of business and economic development in North Carolina.
Levister began his community college career at Robeson Community College before joining Sandhills in 2015 as the Continuing Education Registrar. When Sandhills was chosen as a pilot college in 2018 to develop the new Workforce Continuing Education (WCE) Career and College Promise (CCP) pathways, Jason began serving as Director of the WCE CCP program. He led WCE CCP’s significant growth in partnerships, pathways, and enrollment.
