A woman was killed and a man critically injured in a shooting Thursday night in Fayetteville. As reported by CBS 17, the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the 2500 block of Caledonia Circle at approximately 10:57 p.m. after receiving a ShotSpotter alert. Officers found a man and a woman inside a vehicle, both with gunshot wounds.
According to WRAL, the unidentified woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene while the man was swiftly transported to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The area was secured with crime scene tape, which surrounded a residence and a white vehicle on Caledonia Circle. CBS 17 was on the scene as the preliminary investigation took place…
