Fayetteville State Cross Country Teams Compete at the Wingate Bulldog Stampede

Wingate, N.C. — Fayetteville State’s cross country teams turned in competitive performances at the Bulldog Stampede on Saturday, hosted by Wingate University, with the men finishing fourth and the women placing sixth in a deep field of regional contenders.

In the men’s 7K race, sophomore Brian Kiprop led the Broncos with a third-place finish in 21:47.14, just four seconds behind the individual winner, Anderson’s Spain Vaughan. Kiprop’s strong effort helped Fayetteville State secure a fourth-place team finish with 111 points, supported by fellow sophomore Franklin Kipchirchir (4th, 21:50.30), Dominic Malel (18th, 22:38.21), Ian Kiprono (40th, 23:21.28), and Rowny Kipchirchir (65th, 24:08.01).
