RED SPRINGS — The Fairmont volleyball team earned a 3-1 win over Red Springs in Southeastern Athletic Conference play Tuesday.
Fairmont (4-12, 2-4 SAC) won the first set 25-16 and the second set 25-12. Red Springs (3-12, 1-5 SAC) won the third set 25-20 before Fairmont closed out the match with a 25-17 win in the fourth set.
Layla Hunt had seven aces and 37 assists for Fairmont. Jerrian Taylor had 29 digs with one ace. Khadijah Hunt and Kimiyah Smith each had 11 kills. CeCe Chavis and Tenley Cummings each had seven digs. Taylor Bullock and Alyssa Lambert each had nine straight service points for Fairmont to take the lead in the first and third sets, respectively…
