NC officials approve $163M in bonds for Fayetteville projects, $23M in bonds for Raleigh affordable housing

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — The Local Government Commission approved financial requests for several projects in central North Carolina on Tuesday, state officials said.

According to the North Carolina Department of the State Treasurer, the Fayetteville Public Works Commission was approved to issue $163 million in capital bonds for 16 water, sewer, and electric system projects intended to improve service and operations.

The Raleigh Housing Authority was also given permission to use $23 million in conduit revenue bonds that will be to loaned Minnesota-based limited partnership KTJ 427. The bonds will then be used to acquire, build, and equip a 152-unit multifamily rental housing development for low-income households on Strickland Road, according to the treasurer’s department…
