ERWIN, N.C. (WNCN) — A woman and her dog were rescued by a man before her mobile home was consumed by a fire in Harnett County, emergency personnel said on Thursday.
According to Harnett County Emergency Services, the fire was reported just before 10:30 a.m. on the 200 block of Daniel Quinn Lane in Erwin. First responders found a mobile home engulfed by flames and brought the fire under control within 12 minutes.
The woman told first responders that she noticed smoke inside her home after she came back from taking out her trash. She located the fire and attempted to use an extinguisher, but was overwhelmed by the smoke, according to emergency services…
