OrthoCarolina Performance of the Month – September 2025

The OrthoCarolina Performance of the Month Awards for September in NCHSAA competition go to Ashley Lee from Pinecrest High School and Ayden Brown from West Davidson High School.

Lee is a sophomore on the Patriots golf team and had a spectacular September. She helped her team win the Style Driver Palmetto Girls Tournament of Champions on September 12 at Tradition Golf Club in Pawleys Island, S.C.. She posted a 9-under-par score of 135 in the 36-hole event, finishing second on the individual leaderboard behind teammate Ira Joshi.

Lee was the medalist in a conference match at Anderson Creek, she won the HV3 Girls High School Invitational at Gaston CC and she tied with Charlotte Catholic’s Elizabeth Guthrie for the top spot at the North State Girls High School Challenge at Keith Hills. Lee will enter the post-season as the top ranked 8A golfer in the NCHSAA iWanamaker Rankings.

Brown, a senior multi-sport athlete competing on the Varsity Football, Varsity Soccer, and Varsity Cross Country teams, dominated the month of September with standout performances across all three sports. On the football field, Brown connected on 9 of 10 extra point attempts and went 2-for-2 on field goals, contributing a total of 15 points for the Dragons. On the soccer pitch, he recorded six goals and six assists, while also excelling as goalkeeper with 76 saves and allowing only six goals…
