Cumberland County Library Launches New Sensory Play Area at West Regional

Next week marks the start of something special at West Regional Library in Fayetteville. At 11 a.m. on Oct. 21, kids will get their first look at a brand-new play space built with their needs in mind.

The $44,680 area features dim lights, touch-friendly panels, and gear picked just for children who need extra sensory support.

“We are excited to expand our sensory offerings to the western part of the county,” said Cumberland County Public Library Director Heather Hall in a news release. “This play space is a continuation of our commitment to creating inclusive environments where all children, regardless of ability, can grow, learn, and thrive.”…
