Pirates fall to Terry Sanford

LUMBERTON — The Lumberton Pirates boys soccer team fell to the Terry Sanford Bulldogs on Monday, 3-1.

The loss dropped Lumberton to 7-9-1 and 3-5 in the conference. Terry Sanford improved to 7-7-4 for the year and 4-2-1 in conference play.

“It’s kind of been our story all season man,” Lumberton coach Ethan Freeman said. “It’s just the simple mistakes we make, not marking it on the backside, not making good clearances. Things that have been plaguing us all season, things that we work on, but if we can sure those things up, do a little bit better, in these games, then we’ve got them in the bag.”…
