1,000+ participate in Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — The Alzheimer’s Association – Eastern North Carolina Chapter held its annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday in Fayetteville.

More than 1,000 participants honored those impacted by Alzheimer’s with a touching “promise garden” ceremony. Walkers carried flowers of various colors representing their personal connections to the disease.

So far, $164,000 has been raised. Funds from Saturday’s walk will help pay for research, risk reduction, early detection, and provide quality care and support for all impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementia…
