Located in the heart of downtown Dunn, Broad Street Deli has become a staple for locals and visitors alike. Owner Jamie Adkins, who has steered the deli for over 20 years, built the business on a foundation of fresh ingredients, community engagement and a dash of family tradition.
“I had always said I wanted a little lunchtime spot, just a pipe dream, to be honest with you, and the owner of the building where I am right now and have been for 20 years, approached me when he heard me say that one day, and he said, ‘Jamie, I have a location. It’s going to be a restaurant. It can be yours or it can be somebody else’s.’ And so my husband and I sat down and worked up a business plan and through a lot of prayer, blood, sweat and tears, we’re still at it 20 years later,” shared Jamie.
