RED SPRINGS — The Town of Red Springs’ first Halloween on Main was a huge success, the town said in a press release.
After days of drizzle and rain, the fall weather was perfect, and Main Street was buzzing with the foot traffic of eager trick-or-treaters and parents seeking candy and several citizens just interested in what was happening. The haunted house saw long lines throughout the night of those interested in a little more thrill to their evenings. Citizens alike commented that it was nice to leave the church trunk-or-treat events and to come to the Halloween on Main activities.
The movie on the lawn was slightly delayed due to technical difficulties, but began showing at 8:15 p.m. The town is grateful to the Red Springs Chamber of Commerce, the Red Springs Recreation and Electric Departments and many volunteers and staff that helped to successfully bring Halloween on Main together.
