Three police officers in North Carolina are credited with saving “a life in need” after one noticed what looked like a tiny pile of nothing in the road.
A sergeant with the Fayetteville Police Department “spotted what she thought was a small pile of fur lying still in the middle of the street” on Tuesday, Nov. 4, the police department said in a Facebook post.
“Fearing the worst, she stopped to check, only for the ’pile’ to slowly lift its head and wag its tail,” the police department said. “It was a small, matted dog who looked like he had given up, lying motionless in the road as if he had nowhere left to go.”…
