Unidentified Man’s Body Found Near Railroad Tracks in Vander, East of Fayetteville, as Death Investigation Begins

A grim discovery was made in the Vander community just east of Fayetteville this past Saturday as a man’s body was found alongside Clinton Road. The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office reported the incident after a 911 call came in at around 2:50 p.m., prompting deputies to respond to the scene in the 3300 Block of Clinton Road, according to CBS 17. Upon their arrival, they found an unidentified deceased male near the railroad tracks that parallel part of Clinton Road.

The identity of the man has not yet been released as the investigation into the cause and circumstances of his death continues. The area, known for its proximity to Interstate 95 and scattered ponds, is now the focal point of a death investigation that has drawn the attention of local residents and authorities alike.
