The Civil Affairs Proponent at the U.S. Army Special Operations Center of Excellence at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, is requesting feedback from service members. The goal is to improve how Civil Affairs uses lessons learned from training and operations. Currently, many insights and after-action reviews stay at lower unit levels and do not reach Army-wide doctrine or practice.
The lessons learned program is being updated to better collect and use information from the field. The aim is to update Civil Affairs doctrine, training, and capabilities for large-scale combat operations. Service members are encouraged to share their experiences to help identify gaps, confirm effective practices, and support the development of the Civil Affairs branch.
