Fayetteville Launches New Campaign to Help Residents Recycle Smarter

The city of Fayetteville, North Carolina, has launched a new educational program called ‘Recycling Right: Fayetteville’s Guide to Smarter Recycling.’ The Solid Waste Division leads this effort. The goal is to help residents identify recyclable materials and reduce contamination in recycling loads. Daniel Edwards, Assistant Director of Public Services, said that proper recycling saves resources, lowers collection costs, and helps the environment.

The campaign will use social media, FayTV, city facilities, and neighborhood outreach. It will provide visual guides and weekly posts about common recycling mistakes.
