On November 17, 2025, the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners held a regular meeting at the Judge E. Maurice Braswell Cumberland County Courthouse in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The meeting started at 6:45 p.m. and included recognitions, presentations, and approvals related to community and county operations.
Chairman Kirk deViere opened the meeting and acknowledged guests, including State Highway Patrol Commander Colonel Freddy Johnson Jr., Sheriff Johnathan Morgan, and County Fire Chief Freddy Johnson. Chaplain Kenneth Tatum gave the invocation, and Colonel Johnson led the Pledge of Allegiance. The Board also welcomed ‘Flat Ensly,’ a character from a nationwide educational project.
County Fire Chief Freddy Johnson recognized representatives from county fire stations.
