Woman accused of crashing into Cumberland County Circle K turns herself in, deputies say

SPRING LAKE, N.C. (WNCN) — The woman accused of crashing into a Circle K in Cumberland County last week turned herself in Monday, deputies said.

According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, a black GMC SUV crashed into the Circle K in the 2000 block of Lillington Highway in Spring Lake around 2:43 a.m. on Nov. 10, causing significant damage to the building. The driver entered the store to apologize to the clerk and said her license had been suspended a day earlier before driving off.

Deputies said the driver was identified as 35-year-old Leslie Young of Spring Lake. She turned herself in on Monday and was cited with hit-and-run with property damage and driving without a valid operator’s license…
