FOUR OAKS — Johnston Community College has received more than $3.6 million in Golden LEAF funding to support a strategic partnership with Vulcan Elements, a manufacturer of rare-earth magnets that recently announced plans to build a large-scale facility in Benson.
JCC will train new Vulcan Elements employees at the college’s new Advanced Manufacturing Training Facility in Four Oaks before the plant becomes operational.
