SHANNON — An arrest has been made in connection to a 2024 sexual assault after Robeson County Sheriff’s Office received a Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) hit.
On Monday, James D. Woods, 46, of Shannon, was arrested and charged by investigators. Woods is charged with statutory rape of a child less than 15, incest with a child great who is 13 to 15 years old and less than 6 years old, and crimes against nature.
Woods is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center with a $1 million secured bond…
