Campbell University to provide free tuition to new students from Harnett County

BUIES CREEK, N.C. (WNCN) — New, full-time students in Harnett County will receive free tuition at Campbell University in 2026, school officials said Monday.

According to university officials, tuition will be covered for up to four years (eight semesters) for students who are:

  • Admitted as first-time, full-time undergraduates
  • Live in Harnett County
  • Reside on the Buies Creek campus
  • Enrolled in a traditional undergraduate program

Students are also required to file for Free Application for Federal Student aid using Campbell’s code to receive full tuition, according to university officials.

University officials said student and parent loans are not packaged or included with the free tuition. Housing, meals, books, course material, personal expenses, summer courses, general fees, specialized program fees, and technology fees are not covered…
