Pennsylvania Transformer Technology Fuels North Carolina’s Manufacturing Drive with $102.5M Investment in Raeford

It’s a power move for Pennsylvania Transformer Technology, LLC (PTT) as they’ve broken ground on expanded manufacturing facilities in Raeford, North Carolina, a moment marked by Governor Josh Stein’s presence alongside noteworthy state and local dignitaries. PTT, already known for its manufacturing of power and distribution transformers, is set to infuse over $102.5 million into the local economy and create 217 jobs in Hoke County. “North Carolina’s top-tier workforce and thriving business environment make companies like Pennsylvania Transformer Technology want to grow here,” Gov. Stein stated, in a report by the Governor’s Office official news release.

Commerce Secretary Lee Lilley contributed his insights, acknowledging PTT’s decision as a testament to the state’s allure for industrial growth, “North Carolina has the largest manufacturing workforce in the Southeast, and it comes as no surprise that great companies like PTT choose North Carolina,” Lilley said, and these 217 jobs create great opportunities for the community and the city of Raeford’s growth, as per the Governor’s Office.

The expansion in Raeford includes the addition of two facilities encompassing 300,000 square feet, signaling PTT’s significant push within the electric utility, municipal power, renewable energy, and industrial markets since its initial North Carolina grounding in 1992.
