Mother arrested, charged with walking into school with gun in Hoke County

RAEFORD, N.C. (WNCN) — A school resource officer at Hoke County High School spotted a woman with a gun on campus Thursday. The officer reported it to the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office and notified school officials.

The sheriff’s office responded to investigate just before 9 a.m on Wednesday, identifying the woman with the gun as 34-year-old Shanique Laquea Fils-Aime.

The SRO officer said she walked into the school with a black firearm on her hip. In a release Friday, the sheriff’s office confirmed her to be the parent of a HCHS student…
