St. Pauls honors retiring officer

ST. PAULS — The Town of St. Pauls honored a retiring police officer during its monthly Board of Commissioners meeting Thursday.

Carrol McNeill is retiring at the end of the month after nearly 21 years of service with the St. Pauls Police Department. The board presented him with a plaque, but also with his service firearm, which is a tradition in the department.

In other business, David Honeycutt, an engineer with McGill Associates, gave the board an update on an Asset Inventory and Assessment (AIA) on the town’s water system…
