When she was five-years-old, none of Kayden Manning’s catcher’s equipment fit. Her mask was more of a helmet; the chest protector was too big, and the knee pads were huge on her little legs. But 12 years later, Manning has grown into a standout catcher for the Eagles at Eastern Alamance High School, and whose leadership and playing skills earned her the opportunity to attend Campbell University and to play for the Camels.
Manning recently announced her commitment to play collegiate softball at Campbell, adding another milestone to an already decorated high school and national-level career. She is a multi-sport athlete, excelling in both volleyball and softball.
On the diamond, Manning is a four-year varsity starter, and has been a consistent force for the Eagles since first taking the field as a freshman. Going into her senior season, she has appeared in 72 games as Eastern Alamance’s starting catcher, recording 70 hits, including 41 singles, 17 doubles, one triple and 11 home runs…
