FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — The family of Evonte McNeill plans to conduct a foot search this weekend in Fayetteville as questions continue to surround his disappearance.
McNeill has been missing since November 2023 after he was released from Cape Fear Valley Medical Center following a mental health crisis. His mother, Tiana Melvin, said she still has no answers about where her son may be.
“I don’t have any updates,” Melvin said. “I don’t know where my son is. I’m still looking for him.”
According to Melvin, McNeill told her that he was catching a ride home after leaving the hospital. She said he later called again, saying someone was following him. Melvin urged her son to go to the Fayetteville Police Department headquarters, but the lobby was closed at the time…
