A search warrant in a 2021 homicide investigation that produced an arrest four years later shows that a friend of the victim believed he was the person the alleged shooter was angry with when a man was killed in the Summerwind Mobile Home Park.
Derames Lamar Freeman, 35, was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Albany, New York, Oct. 20, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. He is charged first-degree murder in the October 2021, shooting death of Kenneth Franklin Miles Jr., 25.
Freeman was returned to Cumberland County on Nov. 24 and is being held in jail without bail.
