BENSON — A fire destroyed a home in Johnston County on Christmas Eve.
The fire was reported Wednesday afternoon on Elevation Road outside of Benson. Multiple fire departments responded, including West Johnston, Benson, Elevation and 50-210.
Firefighters worked to contain the blaze, but the home was declared a total loss. Two people who were inside at the time escaped without injury…
